We would like to introduce to you our house which has been completely renovated but retains the appearance of a typical Mallorquin finca (country house). It is located near the village of Costitx in the heart of Mallorca.
We called it Casa de Estrella (stellar house) because it is on a hill close to the astronomical observatory and the night sky is breathtaking.
The house completely met our expectations of living in sunny Mallorca.

The road to the house is very narrou in last phase of the road. Small cars recomanded. We used to drive there van Peugeot Traveller. It is for good and brave drivers 🙂

- General information
The house, including the terrace, has an area of approx. 130 square meters and a plot of approx. 5,000 square meters.
Electrical energy is almost exclusively drawn from sunlight (solar panels and backup high-capacity batteries) and in the event of the occasional cloudy sky we have a diesel generator set that switches on automatically.
Thanks to this, comfort is ensured and at the same time we have learned to live in harmony with the sun.
Water is provided by a large-capacity deposit hidden under the house, which is filled by a tanker truck and in case of rainfall with rainwater. We were very excited to live in harmony with natural resources and to learn how to deal with them economically and at the same time comfortably.
The entire house will be available for visitors. We live in a close neighborhood behind a fence where we built a cottage with facilities. We have two dogs – dachshunds, who ensure the function of the security alarm..:))
At the same time, we are available in case of any malfunctions and difficulties, and we are also happy to share our knowledge of Mallorca, recommendations for trips, rental companies of all kinds, and the like.
Parking spaces are available. The property is completely fenced so children and any dogs are safe here.
The layout of the house consists of two bedrooms, a large living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a large terrace. Of course, there is also a swimming pool with pleasant seating and lounging. The ideal capacity is 5 adults or 4 adults and 2-3 children. WiFi and air conditioning.
2. Kitchen
The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped to your satisfaction. We have a dishwasher, a fridge with a freezer, all kinds of dishes, small robotic appliances (mixer, toaster, coffee maker), a gas stove with a hood and an oven. There is also a children’s kitchen for little helpers. Windows and doors are equipped with shading blinds against the morning sun. The dining table is a matter of course but in warm weather we use the terrace for meals. A door from the kitchen leads to the garden, where there is an outdoor grill and a sandpit, which is well visible when cooking.
3. Living room
The living room is really spacious. There are two sofa beds comfortable for sleeping. The door from the living room leads to the pool area. So your children are perfectly supervised. In case of warm weather there is air conditioning and in cold weather we have a beautiful fireplace and also the air conditioning provides a warm air.. In the colder months, we put a carpet in the living room. We don’t have a TV yet, a view of the pool and the garden is a better alternative.
4. Bathroom
The azure bathroom has a shower, toilet and storage space. Towels are available.
5. Bedroom
The house has two bedrooms. Both have storage spaces (wardrobe and chest of drawers). In one bedroom there is a double bed and in the other there are two single beds, which can possibly be pushed together or you can let us know in time and we will move a smaller double bed there. Bed linen is adapted to the season. Only light sheets in summer and warm blankets in winter. Due to the humidity on the island, we use a cotton and lycra blend in the summer and warm fleece blankets in the winter.

6. Garden
The garden is big enough for children and animals. There are lots of trees, bushes and flowers. Lemon tree, aloe, cactuses, fig trees, etc.
7. Terrace and pool
The terrace and pool are relaxing places where you can enjoy cool water and pleasant sitting. You can easily move the furniture from the terrace to the pool and back. By the pool, children have a tent and a hiding place under a wooden platform. There is a pleasant artificial grass on which you can lie down or run around. Of course, the pool has a filter system and we regularly refill it with clean and cold water. Mallorca has a limestone bedrock, so the water does not spoil and is clear and cold.
